The collapsing US military & economic empire is making Washington & NATO even more dangerous. US could not beat the Taliban but thinks it can take on China-Russia-Iran...a sign of psychopathology for sure. We must all do more to help stop this western corporate arrogance that puts the future generations lives in despair. @BruceKGagnon

Transcendent Moment

Bernie Sanders is dancing around. His ‘revolution’ does not have an organizing committee that is accountable to the public… his voters. He’s trying to cut deals inside the White House and halls of Congress.

What are the deals?  Who gets to decide during negotiations?  How does a report back to the public happen?  Does Bernie get to make all those decisions?  Should not happen that way.  This is a teaching moment here.

We are on the edge of the cliff now as the corporate oligarchies push for the final solution to any opposition to their ‘full spectrum dominance’.  Russia and China top the list of demons.  Lap dog nations are rounded up to serve in the US-NATO posse.  (Canada is the latest to send 1,000 troops for war games along the Russian border.  Disgraceful.)

What happened to the Baby Boomers – they know better than to go along with all this.  But they largely bombed out.  They generally bought the material line - gave up on the vision of the Indians and the Hippies. Many of them thought Obama represented the epitome of their generation – peace, freedom and respect.  He betrayed his followers who were comfortable with his ‘style’, but couldn’t be bothered with his recycled Bush agenda.  Fortunately for all of us there are still some grey-haired special people out there pushing hard.

Our future, the kid’s future, is on the line.  The sacred ball of life has rolled up to our feet – do we grab it in time?

Gen X, the Millennials, the XYZ-family…. Mr. Big hands us all a name and a script - written and approved by the FBI, CIA, Hollywood, Madison Avenue, Homeland Security, the Pentagon, and those inside the dark halls of corporate HQ in Washington.

The world is crashing toward final war. Can you feel it?

Burnt and blistered afterwords we’d wish we got off our asses more and into the fight to help take back our sacred right to be human – to love and feel a special link to community and the earth.

So now we must move from fear toward hope which comes from the light of truth, faithfulness, and love. It's our only chance.

Don't let Mr. Big's minions divide us again. We need one another.

Hoka Hey!

Bruce

Was he not the ONLY person to vote against all these wars? Why should he be responsible for cleaning them up? If he was to be the president, then he would need a plan to get out of those countries. Listen to Bernies speech in regards to the war in Iraq (2003).

And here is where Sanders greatest equivocation has come. In spite of claims of being antiwar, his “hawkish” support of Clinton’s military actions in the 1999 Kosovo War caused one of his advisers to quit. When antiwar activists occupied Sanders’ office in 1999 because of that support of Clinton’s war policies, he had them arrested.

In 2001, Sanders did not support the vote in Congress to oppose the war in Afghanistan. Congresswoman Barbara Lee stood alone! This vote was followed by his support for appropriations to support boththe war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

In 2003 he supported the resolution that gave support to George W. Bush in both Iraq and in the larger war against terrorism, although Sanders has been a critic of the Iraq War.

Then Sanders supported only a gradual withdrawal from Iraq. When impeachment was on the so-called table against George W. Bush in 2006, he said that impeachment was “impractical.”

I just get a picture of a Hive mentality. At least in the top levels of governance. Equivalent to the European royal families which are really one Family. And have their representatives within Wall Street and in the supposedly separate and "independent" government.

For every ideal there is a platitude written by an unknown bureaucrat like "my country right or wrong" -- a witty yet not pithy slogan to counter any real enlightment. Sometimes the person writing the slogan is partly famous. The one here was Decatur, whose major accomplishment was that he and his publicists made it seem that the US Marines somehow won at "the shores of Tripoli".

Catchy song, catchy "ad lib" slogan, both catch a lot of bull. Decatur and his band tried a coup, took casualties and didn't accomplish their goal. Sounds like a loss to me.

But that's the power of lies. One platitude is that a person in power has to do "things" that run counter to his conscience.

There's a story about the Emperor Constantine, that he only converted to Christianity on a personal level very late in life. Wouldn't take on the name because, in his explanation, he was the Emperor and emperors have to do a lot of really unholy actions. This is me running with my perceptions. Looking for the good. it's here somewhere.

Perhaps the Word has persisted so long despite the machinations of the charlatans who took up the Name and the Word for personal gain. Even that it was written, trascribed if you will, by such utterly evil persons. Maybe this will help, at least on a personal basis. You recall the incident where Solomon decided a case by ordering a baby to be cut in half? It gets a lot of play as being his wisdom BUT... the people involved believed very strongly that he was going to have a Hebrew child killed. He must have had one Hell of a reputation. The term "middle eastern despot" leaps to mind. His family did some really rotten things. And had them documented, edited by scribes who were spin doctors.

The Word survived. The high praises written by some frightened ("make me look good or die") scribe has a window of truth about it.

The allegory from the ancient past can sometimes hold a vision of the present and near future. Amen, and amen.
